Section 3 - HEALTH HAZARD ASSESSMENT General: This description of toxcological properties is based on experimental results with active ingredients and experienced with this material. Ingestion: This material is classified as " practically non-toxic" by ingestion Eye Contact: This material may be slightly irritating to human eyes following contact. Skin Contact: Short contact periods with human skin is not useally associated with skin irritation. A possible, but highly unlikely, effect after repeated or prolonged skin contact with this material is a temporary skin sensation called paresthesia. This has beendescribed as a tingling numbness that goes away within hours with no lasting effects. Inhalation: - Toxic effects are not likely to develop after inhalation at residential or commercial dilutions. Other effects of overexposre: - No other adverse clinical effects have been associated with exposures to this material. Section 4 - FIRST AID PROCEDURES Skin: Wash material from skin with plenty of soap and water. If redness, itching, or a burning sensation develops, get medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing and decontaminate footwear befor reuse. Eyes: Immediatly flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If redness, itching, or a burning sensation persists, have eyes examined and treated by medical personnel. Ingestion: Give one or two glasses of water to drink. If gastriintestinal symptoms develop, consult medical personnel. ( Never give anything by mouth to an unconscios person.) Inhalation: Remove victom to fresh air, if cough or other respiratory symptoms develop. consult medical personnel _____________________________________________________________________________ Section 5 - ACUTE TOXICITY (IRRITATION, SENSITIZATION ETC.) Eye contact rabbit Results: Moderate irritant to rabbit eyes. Symptoms (Human): A similiar degree of irritation will probably occur after human eye contact. Inhalation Symptoms: No toxic effects are known to be associated with inhalation of dust from this material. Skin Sensitisation Symptoms : Mild irritant to rabbit skin. Irritation will probably develop following repeated and/or prolonged contact with human skin. Skin exposure may cause a skin sensation called paresthesia, which is usually described as tingling, itching, burning, prickling, glowing, flushing, numbness or a chapped feeling. Symptoms usually occur around the face (mouth and eyes) but may involve the arms or hands. Symptoms may develop shortly after exposure or can be delayed up to four hours and can persist between 2 and 30 hours following contact. There is no evidence of any long-term or cumulative effects on the skin. The effect may result from transferring the material to the face from contaminated gloves and hands.
